1. Extract and run.

First Release

Hopefully this helps with some of the laggyness. I haven’t had anyone to test it on older PC’s. So I didn’t know how well it ran on them. Also there is a 32bit and 64bit version. The original was just 64bit. No old saves will work with this. That shouldn’t be a problem moving forward but I had to adjust the way the scenes were. Anytime I drastically change anything that may be an issue but such is a WIP, anything. Save can be found at C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\The Inheritance\User Data\Default An example of the save file: SaveGame_0.vndata and SaveGame_0_Header.vndata
A few technical bits about this release.
First, the settings menu is still not working fully. The options for Full Screen or Windowed works. As well as the Skip Read or Unread text. The rest doesn’t. Most of the time.
Second, there is no option to hide the message box yet. I have something that sort of works but not well enough to include yet.
Third, keep in mind this isn’t made with Ren’Py. So it won’t work exactly the same. Even though there are some similarities. I use Visual Novel Maker. It has a GUI so coding is much easier for me. I’m not the best at coding. I would take ages if I had to do pure coding.
