So last time I couldn’t really talk about the RPG mechanics without spoiling it. Turns out, I may have been a bit more excited about it that some of you were. I realize it may have been a bit jarring, considering it was a fullly different format that what you’re used to.
I felt it would be a great change of pace, a nostalgic hat tip to the 90’s, and an appropriate distraction for- oops, no spoilers, you’ll see in this update
Anyways, it was only one update, and though I do plan to have more dungeons in the future, you can expect a “return to form” in this and subsequent updates. I mean, this is what I have planned, if nobody enjoys it, I could always try another approach. This is meant for all of you to enjoy, not for myself to enjoy… that would just be masturbation…
Hopefully you like this one, and see that there is method to my madness.

So this is my first month with more time to work on an update, and I have to admit, it’s been a challenge – but in a good way. There was some frustration initially because I couldn’t quite make things work, so I tried a fullly different approach – and it worked After that point, it was a whirlwind of resource gathering, photo editing, coding, bug hunting and writing. The culmination of this month’s effort is still a bit barren and rudimentary, but the foundation has been set for future use, and it has a lot of potential. In the end, I wasn’t quite able to finish it, but I’m pretty happy with the result, and I really hope you all like it too.
You’re probably wondering what I’m talking about, since I’ve been rather vague here, but I’d rather you go in fresh and check it out yourself. Navigating this update should be fairly easy, but just in case someone gets stuck, I’ll say this – check your inventory.

A few things about this update… Firstly, it’s very different from what you’re used to in this game. I know that’s a risk, but I’m hoping you like it anyways, so… fingers crossed. Just as a heads up; you won’t find any sex or choices for you to make during the intro scene. This will apply to Roh’s intro scene as well, but rest assured, there will be plenty of both once things get underway. Also, maybe a bit of a spoiler here… There will be some 4th wall moments when you’re interacting with Ted and Ivan rather than just the RPG characters. Aside from that, I would like to have a whole different appearance to the game when you’re in RPG mode, etc, but the aesthetic stuff is kind of on the back burner for now.
I really do hope you like this update and are excited for more – but if not, feel free to let me know about it.
