For those returning from MERCANOID; welcome back! The Maverick Manor is my second game, fulfilling a long-held desire to create a game under a self-imposed October game jam. A test of overhauled systems and streamlined work methods, it was created over the course of 30 days to experiment with short games. The result is this ‘Narrative Short’ game, introducing an alternative setting to MERCANOID’s Glowing World with Hazard Heroines. By streamlining out the weightier RPG aspects found in MERCANOID – and saving them for larger projects where they scale better – the result is a game with pre-defined characters with powerful playstyles, versus equally powerful foes. Learning their strengths is imperative to victory! Wait… Characters? Strengths, plural?
Yes, this is also an experiment in multiple protagonists! Experience a dual narrative chronicling Helen and Jaycie’s respective gauntlets through the perverted Manor, and help them find their way home! And as usual, you don’t have to lose to see the ‘goods’ – with a gallery now on-demand in the right sidebar!
Monsters creep in the Manor! From tentacular abominations to corrupted Fae folk, they all have a taste for our plucky Undead protagonists. Fight to unlock a variety of kinky bad ends and work towards a happy ending – in every sense of the term! ♥ Kinks include Tentacles, Bondage, Breeding, Size Difference, Transformation, Possession and more!
Spicier kinks not your thing? Filter harder kinks (consent-play, mind control/corruption and soft vore) to either Allow, Disable or Warn (preceding an affected scene with a more tasteful description to allow you to decide!). Filter masculine, feminine and monstrous partners, too!

Known Issues: Helen will sometimes start fights at 15 shield, even if her maximum due to gear equips is higher.

– A multi-attack possibly made by Mandrakes would trigger their end-of-turn status checks twice, causing them to take two ticks of DoT, etc on one turn.
– When Helen takes the Winchester (if Jaycie sends it up), the icon now disappears for the sake of consistency with other item pickups.
– Upon restarting the final boss, some status effects would linger. This was thought to be fixed. It should now be definitely fixed.

– ‘Back’ was appearing in the new ‘Ero’ button version of the Fantasize menu. It shouldn’t have been, and took you to some MERCANOID-specific menu options. Bypassed/fixed.
– Incredibly Evil Knife’s attacks both referenced the character’s Main weapon in flavour text, not the equipped subweapon. Fixed.
– Embrace Of Our Lady could be used constantly due to an oversight with how Cooldown items work. Fixed.
– During the final boss…
– On the first attempt, Jaycie’s revival perk may not have worked. Fixed.
– Regen would carry on between attempts. Fixed.
– Charging states would carry on between attempts and break stuff. Fixed.

– Due to a problem with Twine’s archival import system, when I moved the project from my laptop back to my main workstation upon arriving home, it failed to update and thus erased fixes made during the final pre-release version, 1.0, and 1.0.1. Those fixes have been restored. Sorry!
– A tile in the Makeshift Bar would allow access into THE VOID. Fixed.

– Fixed the ‘Tentacle Pit’ bad end’s rewind function breaking if you attempted to use it after succumbing to the gas trap later.
– The game was still utilizing online assets for the Maps, specifically. This has been fixed to utilize the offline pathed assets instead.
– One such map was misnamed. It is now behaving.
– A few minor inventory UI bits that were irritating me have been smoothed over (superfluous +’s, flat totals after percentages looking weird, etc)
– Fixed an errant <<if>> tag from an abandoned piece of scripting in the Makeshift Bar (cleaning room door).

The Glowing World as explored in MERCANOID is my major setting, but I have two more I wish to play with for some smaller projects like this; Hazard Heroines is one of them, a world of superpowers and the supernatural. I hope you enjoy the game – and remember, any purchases are endlessly appreciated, especially I take this ‘hobby’ more and more seriously!
Please note that while the game -can- be launched on mobile/tablet devices, it probably isn’t going to be a pleasant experience on anything other than a tablet. Game was made with 1080 in mind – larger resolutions can use accessibility text scaling or browser zoom in, lower resolutions may need to browser zoom out to fit the sidebar content.

A lewd and spooky little adventure through a haunted manor, MERCANOID: A Glowing World is a game made in just 30 days by developer Pyksies. The game features two main characters, Jaycie and Helen, as they explore the haunted mansion. As a complete-on-release game, it will be receiving a 1.1 update to further improve some aspects and add in the Codex for this setting.
The game is designed for desktop computers with resolutions of 1080 or higher; however, it can also be launched on mobile and tablet devices. For larger resolutions, players can use accessibility text scaling or browser zoom in, while lower resolutions may require a browser zoom out to fit the sidebar content properly.
