Rance 02 – The Rebellious Maidens:
(2010 Remake) Ten years prior to the story, four young girls in the town of Kathtom were appointed as disciples to an old mage named Ragishss. They were to be raised as mages and work as the town’s guardians after their training fulld. However, after the ten years, the girls suddenly rebelled against Ragishss and killed him. During the harsh magic battle, the entire town was entombed underground and a barrier spell was placed on it, preventing anyone from leaving, including the maidens who terrorized the town.
Rance 3 – Fall of Leazas:
Leazas has fallen due to an attack from Helman, and Lia has been captured! Kanami finds Rance and asks him to help. Dark Lords were most likely involved in the attack and Rance needs to find and regain the holy sword and armor in order to gain the legendary Chaos, the only thing known to be able to damage dark lords, in order to free Leazas from Helman rule.
Rance IV – The Legacy of the Sect:
Rance’s battle with the former Demon King Gele, he was trapped along with Sill in an alternate dimension with no means to escape before being transported by the God of Light GOD and taken to an unknown location that they’ve never seen before.
Rance being literally naked, and with his level mischievously dropped to 1 by the God of Light, they find themselves in an unknown land that isn’t in The Continent they’ve always lived. They come across a small town nearby and it doesn’t take them too long to find out that they are actually in the floating island above Leazas, Ylapu. Stuck in the floating landmass with no means to get out, they are forced to investigate in order to find a way to return to the main continent.
Rance 4.1:
Rance 4.1 stars an indebted Rance and Athena 2.0 as they try to solve the mystery of the sudden monster attacks from underground that has stopped Happiness Pharmaceutical, the creators of the Seirogan, from producing their main brand of healing products. The prize for fixing the situation is 150 000 gold and Rance isn’t the only one aiming for it.
Rance 4.2:
Continuing from 4.1, Rance and his new party attacks the Angel Army base.
Kichikuou Rance:
Rance leading a band of bandits in rural Helman Empire. The Imperial Patrol crushed his band with overwhelming force, and captured his slave, Sill. Rance fled to the borders of Leazas where he was rescued by Kanami, personal ninja of Lia, queen of Leazas.
Eager to take revenge upon Helman and rescue his slave Sill, Rance agreed to marry Lia. As the new king of Leazas, Rance set his first step on a path that eventually leads to world domination, or death.
Rance 5D – The lonely Girl:
Rance 5D is an RPG game with dungeon diving as well as ‘girl capturing’ elements, allowing the player to capture to join the player’s party. Its odd title is due to the fact that Rance 5 went through three previous iterations and scrapped projects before the release of 5D.
Rance VI: The Collapse of Zeth:
Set in the year LP0004, Rance and Sill travel to the Magic Kingdom Zeth because they ran short of money again. However, after offending a high-ranked magic user, Rance is ironically thrown into the slave camp while his magic-using slave Sill is treated as a VIP.
Vowing vengeance, he joins up with an underground resistance group called Ice Flame. Zeth being a nation of Magic, has a strong prejudice against those who cannot use magic. Ice Flame is a now small organization with the mission of bringing equality between mages and non-mages, whose rights are pretty much non-existant.
Rance joins the group in order to get his revenge against the mages of the government of Zeth, and be reunited with Sill “while he’s at it”.
Sengoku Rance:
(also known as “Rance 7”) Sengoku Rance picks up where Rance 6 left off. Rance, after saving the nation of Zeth from destruction, ran away so he wouldn’t have to marry the princess. He and Sill ended up in JAPAN for a hotspring trip, upsetting the power balance of JAPAN, and setting the unification of its provinces in motion. Meanwhile, an ancient evil power stirs from its slumber…
