Arcana: Heat and Cold is a puzzle adventure eroge, where you play as a “spell breaker” on a journey to cure people of a dangerous and mysterious disease called “Arcane Fever”. You’re not too skilled in magic, but you have your own way of healing people. Using heat and cold runes, you will react to special dialogue to advance the story. The heat rune is used if you want to be aggressive or forceful with the target. While the cold rune is for when you want to react in a relaxed or calm manner. Simply drag the selected rune to your chosen dialog – and be sure to pick the correct one when needed. As you progress in your adventure, you will encounter girls with varying personalities, issues, and fetishes, all suffering from an arcane fever. Learn more about what could have caused their illness and what issues in their life could have triggered it. Talk to the characters for more information and search the area for clues to uncover the full story.

The hentai scenes are set up in a comic format that scrolls from left to right. Sometimes you will need to unlock panels with the appropriate rune to continue the scene. In the first episode available in the public version, a couple asks you to heal their shy daughter. Her temperature continues to rise and in her stupor she continues to mumble something about a promise. It seems like there’s more to this family than what it’s showing you.
